1540 Crane Body

Small but mighty is one way to describe the 1540. Yet our smallest and lightest-duty 9-foot crane body still maintains the high-quality build features of its bigger brothers.

Designed specifically to match a 10.5k SRW (single rear wheel) chassis, it has a unique transverse compartment, or tunnel, just behind the cab. This allows for a pair of 28-inch drawer packs to be placed back-to-back, giving you 68.5 cu ft of storage and easy access, even with the 15-inch-deep compartments. The transverse cabinet easily accommodates the mounting of an air compressor too.

Built sturdy and strong like our larger body line-up, the 1540’s step bumper and signals are not bolted on but have full-seam welds for longevity. The 1540 can accept the 2081E Tiger Crane, an electric model with a 2,000-pound lift capacity.
