For maximum performance in demanding environments, the heart of a service truck is a reliable service crane. And the heart of a service crane is its turret—the rotating tower that carries the boom. Keeping this area clean and protected from the elements directly impacts reliability, maintenance, and usable storage.

What is a “Sealed Turret?”

A sealed turret means the turret and rotation assembly are enclosed and gasketed so rain, wash water, dust, and grit can’t get into the crane tower or the body cabinet below.

How Tiger Cranes Does It

Tiger Cranes are constructed with a fully sealed turret and rotation assembly. This is accomplished with a special gasketed bulkhead plate for all hydraulic and electrical connections. The slewing drive of the crane is also fully sealed, as well as the connection from the slewing [...]

For over 35 years, Tiger Cranes has been the industry leader in truck-mounted service cranes, designed for the most demanding jobs. All of our electric/hydraulic and full-hydraulic cranes are built for strength, safety, and performance. But when we talk about performance, what does that mean? Reliability for sure! But it also means incorporating safety and ease of use as standard features of each Tiger Crane. Two of those key features, Auto II Speed Control and Sequential Boom Cylinders, work together to help you perform better.

Auto II Speed Control
Auto II Speed, our automatic load-sensing speed control, comes standard on all full-hydraulic Tiger Crane models. The Auto II Speed system is designed to maximize safety, precision, and operator confidence during crane operation. When a load is detected, Auto II Speed automatically reduces the [...]

When it comes to service bodies, smart storage is always top of mind. That’s why Service Trucks International designed the 1540 crane body with a feature that sets it apart: a full transverse compartment tucked just behind the cab.

The tunnel-like cabinet, accessible from both sides of the truck, pumps up the storage from 15″ to 75″ to accommodate larger tools and accessories. There’s space for two 28-inch drawer packs set back-to-back, creating an impressive 68.5 cubic feet of organized storage. The transverse cabinet can also accommodates the mounting of an air compressor.

The 1540 body is compatible with the 2081E Tiger Crane, a compact electric crane with a 2,000-lb lift capacity.

Compact Body, Big Capability

While storage is the 1540’s standout feature, the rest of the body is no less impressive. Built specifically for a 10.5k GVWR single rear wheel chassis, the 1540 is the smallest and lightest-duty crane body in STI’s lineup. Yet, [...]

Built to match best with 9-foot bodies, the 3216E/EP Electric Tiger Crane offers up to 3,200 pounds of lift and up to 16.5-foot reach. The boom extends hydraulically from 7’8″ to 11’8”, then manually out to 16’5”.

While it can lift big loads, the 3216 Tiger Crane only weighs 750 pounds, leaving you more pounds for payload. And it only takes up 9 feet in length when stowed because we designed the main section boom to fit on 60-CA crane bodies.

Also available as an EP model with proportional control, explore the 3216E/EP Tiger Crane on our website, watch this YouTube video, or reach out to your salesperson to find out if this model will work for YOUR work!

When you get to a jobsite and realize you could use some extra muscle, you’ll be grateful you’ve got a Tiger 2060 Crane on board.

Built as sturdy as its larger lifting brothers, the 2060 Tiger Crane can lift up to 2,000 pounds within a 3- to 5-foot zone, with a boom angle of 0°, 21°, or 45°. The onboard 12-volt D/C winch, operated with a corded remote, is perfectly sized to winch at full capacity. Equipped with a heavy-duty slew bearing and hand brake, the 360 degrees of rotation are smooth—making it easy to position and control movement.

“With the smallest overall footprint in the Tiger Crane lineup, don’t underestimate its capability. You’ll never go back to a liftgate after owning a Tiger 2060,” said Tim Henrich, STI’s National Sales Manager.

When you custom-build a service truck with STI, the options are nearly endless—tool drawers, custom lighting, air compressors, E-track, cranes—you name it. But one accessory that sometimes flies under the radar (and shouldn’t) is spray-on bedliner.

At STI, we offer spray-on bedliner not just for the truck bed, but also for steps and deck surfaces—and for good reason. The textured finish adds serious grip, helping operators stay safe while climbing in and out, especially in wet or dusty conditions.

Here’s something you won’t find everywhere: We apply bedliner directly to the metal, not over paint. That means better adhesion, longer life, and more reliable protection in the spots that take the most abuse.

And that protection goes a long way. Whether it’s heavy tools sliding around or everyday wear and tear, bedliner shields high-traffic areas from [...]
