Recent changes announced at Service Trucks International

Sioux Center, IA - - Sioux Automation Center, the parent company of Service Trucks International (STI) and Tiger Cranes, was recently sold resulting in STI becoming a stand-alone company with one focus – building service bodies and hydraulic/electric cranes.

“We are very excited to make this change in our company structure. It will allow us to devote all our time and resources on building and selling service bodies and cranes,” said Walt Van Laren, president of Service Trucks International. “The manufacturing space and resources previously dedicated to building Sioux Automation ag equipment is now utilized by STI.”

Service Trucks International was created as a division of Sioux Automation Center in 1985, while Tiger Cranes was formed in 1990. Since then, STI and Tiger Cranes have continued to grow every year and are now industry leaders.

STI is located in Sioux Center, IA.

1540 Crane Body The smallest model in our lineup, the new 1540 packs a punch in features and includes many of the same options. Offered standard as a 9-foot crane body, it was specifically designed for 60-inch cab-to-axle SRW (single rear wheel) applications. A transverse front compartment allows for the installation of dual 28-inch toolboxes in a 15-inch wide cabinet.  Equipped with internal support and outriggers, it is ready to receive a 2,000-pound Tiger Crane. Crane Flatbed

This body package is equipped with tool storage integrated into the bed with either top side cabinets, lower cabinets, or both. Compatible Tiger Cranes range from 6,500-8,600 lb capacities. Full hydraulic outriggers, a welded headache rack, rub rails, and an integrated crane tower give you a turnkey solution from STI.

Propane Crane Body

This body is specifically designed to meet the needs of the natural gas and propane industry. Available in 11ft and 14ft lengths, this body can be equipped to receive curbside or street-side mounted cranes. Common Tiger Crane sizes include, but are not limited to, 5,000-7,500lb capacities. From flip-down bed rails and multiple deck tie downs to custom internal storage options, no detail was overlooked on the propane crane body.
